Finger Paints Candy-Coated Collection

Hello Beauties! In our last shipment at work, we received Finger Paints new collection! The Candy Coated Collection! There are three colors and three containers of micro beads. Each sold separately.

The colors in this collection are:
Spun Sugar, Gimmie Some Sugar and Cupcake Heaven.

The beads come in three colors, black, red/pink and multi pastels.

I chose Cupcake Heaven and the multipastels for the look below.

This is a creamy light blue. It covers like a dream and reached opaqueness in one coat. I love the effect of the beads on the accent nail, it adds a colorful texture that has caught the attention of a lot of people.

I also bought the black beads, and will be pairing them with a red polish. Be looking for a photo of that on my Instagram at ChannelHMC in the next few days.

Be looking for this collection in the next few weeks at Sally's. I have a feeling they will be selling really fast by the interest so many people have expressed over my nails at work. So, be on the look out!

What do you think of this collection?

Thanks so much for stopping by!

A few things I picked up at Sephora.

Hello Beauties! So, with Christmas just days away, I decided to hop over onto Sephora.com to do a little "window shopping". Well, that just resulted in me buying something. Naughty me. teehee.

Anyone who knows me or has followed me for a while, knows how I love Too Faced Cosmetics. So, when I saw Sephora had the Too Faced Perfect Collection, I quickly added it to my cart.
Here is what is in the Perfect Collection:
 - 0.28 oz Snow Bunny Perfecting Bronzing Powder

This bronzer is a compact of four colors that, when swirled together give a natural bronze glow.
The colors are a golden bronze, soft pink, white, and fawn glimmer.

- 0.12 oz Glamour Gloss in Pillow Talk

As usual with Too Faced, the packaging is so cute. The handle of the wand is a metallic pink with a big jewel on the top!

- 0.1 oz Glamour Dust in Nude Beam

Glamour Dust can be used to highlight or great to glam up your eyes. It is a fine powder with flecks of gold.

- 0.5 oz Primed and Poreless Skin Smoothing Face Primer

I LOVE Too Faced Primed and Poreless primer, and is what sold this set for me. It really reduces the appearance of pores, goes on smooth and helps keep my makeup on all day. I must have this in my makeup collection always.

Aside from the Too Faced set, I also purchased bareMinerals Mineral Veil. I love this stuff and have been using it for years. It is THE perfect finishing powder in my opinion. It wears so light on the skin, sets your makeup, and gives a flawless translucent finish.

0.21 oz  bareMinerals SPF 25 Mineral Veil in completely sheer

Like with any purchase you make on Sephora.com, you get to choose three free samples, I was also given the option for a deluxe sample.

My deluxe sample I chose was Shiseido Perfect Mascara Full Definition. I haven't used this before, so I am excited to try it out.

My first two samples are perfumes  Tom Ford Noir and versace Bright Crystal. I love Bright Crystal, it is exactly what I like in a perfumes. Tom Ford is nice, but is a bit strong and mature for my tastes.

And lastly, I chose First Aid Beauty Daily Treatment face cleanser. Again, I haven't used any of their products, so I look forward to trying it out!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

New One 'n Only Hair Dryer and Freebies!

Hello Beauties! So, I have had my hair dryer for roughly 5 years. It has been good to me, but sadly in the past couple of weeks sparks have started...well um sparking! lol Fearing a fire would shoot out, I broke down and bought a new dryer. Now, working at Sally's, I have had plenty of time to browse and consider my options. And I decided on the One 'n Only Argan Heat 1875 watt Ceramic Dryer.  With the December specials going on right now at the store, I was also able to get this awesome gift set for FREE! It is the full size One 'n Only Argan Oil shampoo, conditioner and Spray Treatment. But I'll get more into that in a little bit.

I really love how durable and sturdy this dryer feels in the hand. It is sleek and and with the touches of pale pink, gives it a chic look. The grill is ceramic and infused with argan oil. It has six heat/speed settings, a cold shot button, Ion generator, removable filter, snap-in concentrator attachment and an 8' power cord.

What they claim Argan heat in this dryer will do is, "Instant shine and smoothness, anti-frizz and conditioning, color protection, and revitalizes and nourishes hair." and "Ceramic grill helps with heat distribution and emits far-infrared heat for gentle styling, as well as natural ions that reduce frizz and static for smoother, shinier hair."

I have used this dryer once today on medium heat setting, and was the perfect amount of heat. It is a powerful dryer with great air output. Easy to hold and the buttons didn't get in the way, like I was afraid they would. I will give another update as I use it more to give a more experienced review.

For the price of the dryer, it normally runs in the $60 range, but through December, it is on sale for $54. (At least at my store.)

Now on to the free gift set that you get when you purchase any One 'n Only styling tool.

This is a great set that comes with Moisture Repair Shampoo (12 fl. oz/350mL), conditioner (12 fl. oz/350mL) and a spray treatment (6 fl. oz/177mL). They are all full size products.
The shampoo and conditioner are sulfate, phosphate and paraben free. They claim to hydrate and restore damaged hair, add volume and protect color. While the Spray Treatment gives instant shine, smoothness, frizz control and color protection, and is alcohol free.

This set is priced in the $30 range if you purchase it outright.

I haven't used these products before, so I am totally new to them and will give a full review once I have used them for a while.

If you have used any of the above products, please share you thoughts and experiences with me!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

S.O.S! My Skin is in Distress!!

Hello Beauties!! For the past couple of months, my face has been acting a fool. With breakouts, blemishes and pores that seem larger than life (I should stay away from the magnifying mirror haha). I know some of my issues could very easily be the stresses of a new job and having Christmas just around the corner. But I also think that my normal skincare routine may simply not be working.

I have been using Aveeno's Ultra-Calming foaming cleanser, which during the summer worked great. But then in the summer I wear lighter makeup, if any at all. So, I am guessing that it just isn't enough for the colder temps and heavier makeup I am now using.

So, I went to the store today and spent a good thirty minutes reading and searching for something better. And decided on two different cleansing products and a moisturizer.

For my first item, I chose L'oreal's Go 360 Clean Anti Breakout cleanser, salicylic acid acne treatment.

There are five different options to choose from in this 360 line. Each coming with a scrublet that fits perfectly into the bottle.
What L'oreal claims, "Clinically Proven Results to significantly decrease the number of blemishes, blackheads and acne."

The Scrublet:

The little rubber bristles are really soft, so no worries about it damaging the skin.

My next choice was Pond's Luminous Clean cream cleasnser, with soft white Kaolin Clay, "a natural mineral known to act like a magnet to draw out deep-dwelling impurities. It also has emollients such as glycerin which draws moisture from the enviroment, leaving skin feeling soft and smooth." -Pond's
Pond's claim, "Gently draws out trapped impurities and make-up to brighten dull skin."
It is dermatologist tested, hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic-won't clog pores.

I also purchased Pond's Dry Skin Cream. I normally use Pond's moisturizer for normal skin, but given it's winter time, I opted for something to help with my winter dry skin. I love Pond's moisturizers, they have worked well for me.

Now I plan on using only the 360 for the first 2 weeks, to see how it affects my skin, ie no reactions etc. and to see if it alone works for me.

I am familiar with Pond's products and never have had any adverse reactions with any of their products. After the first two weeks, I will be using the 360 cleanser around once or twice a week and Pond's cleanser the other days.

I really hope I can get my skin back into shape. So wish me luck!

If you have used L'oreal's 360 Clean anti-breakout, or even the Pond's Luminous Clean, please let me know your thoughts on it.

I will be doing an update at the end of the two weeks to let you all know my thoughts on the 360.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

A Few Goodies I Picked Up!!

Hello Beauties! I went into work this past Saturday and was pleasantly surprised to find it was employee appreciation day! And we were given an extra percent off on top of our normal employee discount. So, I picked up a few little items.

Yay!

I bought two Turbie Twist's. One for me and one to add to Mom's gifts. I have used mine once, and it is really soft and I am liking it so far.

I have been needing some nail love. With the frequent use of polish remover and constant use of hand sanitizer, my nails have become fragile and break and peel. So, I bought Nail Magic nail hardener and conditioner. I will give a full review of this product after I use it for a few weeks.

I LOVE these corkscrew pins. I have been using them for a long time, but have lost one, so I bought a new set.

And of course I love me some China Glaze!!

From the Cirque de Soleil Collection Creative Fantasy.

This is a gorgeous creme purple, that dries into a satin finish. It wasn't as opaque as I thought it would be and took three coats to reach above look. It could actually use a fourth to reach desirable opaqueness. I will say it wasn't very consistant in application. As I brushed it on, it seems to carry the product more to the free edge of my nails, leaving the nail bed rather thin. It wasn't that it was thick, but just an odd consistency. I had just worked 10 hours, so maybe I was just really tired hehe! I will be reapplying it this week, and will report back.

Next from China Glaze is this beautiful garnet red called Long Kiss.

I am in love with this color. It went on smoothly and easily and I reached desire opaqueness with two coats. It dries into a nice pearly shine.

Another from the Cirque de Soleil Collection is It's a Trap-eze. This is a slightly transparent white base with multi-colored and sized glitter. I don't have a photo with it on as of yet, but will be posting one soon on my instagram at ChannelHMC.

And when you buy two China Glaze polishes at Sally's, you will get a free organza gift bag. Since I bought four, (three colors and China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat), I received two of these cute little bags. The snowflakes are a metallic silver.

Do any of you have any of these polishes or any others from the new Cirque de Soleil Collection? What colors?

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

I went to my favorite place today! The Library!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the library. I look forward to my biweekly visit so I can spend countless hours looking through shelves of books, and sitt...
