A poem I wrote a few years ago that got published.

Its a cold dark night

As I sit by candlelight

Watching the snow fall

Through the midnight sky
 

A tear falls from my eye. 

My heart aches

As I long for your embrace

I look back at where I've been

Will I ever see you again.

I close my eyes

 And let out a sigh

For a moment I feel your warmth

 The security I feel from within.

Thank you for the love you gave

Sorry for the love I couldnt save

For now I realize

That it is your love I crave   

A love that will carry me to my grave
