Maybelline's Color Show Nail Lacquer

Hello Beauties! I have been needing a nice classic red for a while now. I surprisingly only have had two reds in my collection and neither fit the bill.

So, while at the grocery, I remember Maybelline's Color Show, and quickly went to check them out. What variety of colors! But I had to stay focused on the task at hand...RED.

Paint the Town!

It is a perfect classic red. Not to dark or to light.
My first impression upon opening the bottle was it appeared to be slightly thin, which worried me. But once I applied the first coat, I was pleased to see that it still covered very nicely. And if in a hurry, could easily get away with the one coat.

Here I applied two coats, and on the ring finger one coat for comparison of coverage.
It has a nice shine finish.  Above photo has no top coat.

Overall, I am pleased with this polish.

  • Offers good coverage.
  • Drys pretty quick.
  • At around $3, it is affordable.
  • They offer a huge range of colors.

I will give an update after a couple of days to let you all know how it wears, if it peels or chips.

Have any of you used this polish? If so, what colors and what do you think of them?

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Mark. Snap to it Mega Custom Color Palette

Hello Beauties! Today I wanted to share my mark. Snap to it Mega Custom Color Palette.
It works just like the Z-Palette in that it is magnetized, mirrored compact that keeps your  i-mark eye shadows and Good Glowing blushes.

This palette can hold up to eight shadows, four blushes  or like I have here, four shadows and two blushes. It also comes with two duel ended brushes. They are decent brushes, though I mainly use the fluffy end to smooth and blend the colors. They seem to soft to properly apply the shadows.

The four shadows I have here are Corset, Plum Velvet, Fairy Dust, Whisper. The two blushes are Cameo Glo and After Glo.

(With flash.)

                                                                         (Natural light.)

The i-mark shadows I have, have good color payoff and blend easily.

 The four shadow swatches:
Whisper, Corset, Plum Velvet, Fairy Dust.
(Natural light.)

(Flash)

The blushes have smooth feel and apply and blend out perfectly. I love both of these colors so  much.

After Glo has golden shimmer to it, but not to much, just enough. Cameo Glo is more matte and soft.

 Blush swatches:
After Glo (top), Cameo Glo (bottom)

(Natural light)

I am a mark. rep, but haven't been as active in the past year as I should have been. I do have my online boutique if you are interested in any of the products. Here is the link if you would like to check it out: hnoffsinger.mymarkstore.com

B&BW and Old Navy haul

Hello Beauties! I went on a small shopping trip and wanted to share with you what I got!

From Bath & Body Works:

I love the fall/halloween scents. Creamy Pumpkin and Candy Corn being my absolute faves.

I love B&BW wallflowers. Marshmallow Fireside smells so good, and it isn't as overpowering as you would think. I bought my son leaves for his room. It is one of his favorite scents.

The antibacterial soaps. Vampire Blood has a fruity smell of plum and BooHoo is Creamy Pumpkin.

Orchard Walk smells very good. It has a fresh apple scent and warm apple cider smells comforting.

From Old Navy, I purchase this darling dres. It reminds me of a vintage style.

And with fall and cooler temps on the way, I love oversized shirts. The material isn't to thick and with a cami underneath, it is perfect and completely comfortable. And the color!!! I just love it!

From the men section, I found this hoody. It feels like a thick tshirt material, but not to thick. It is so soft and I am in love with it. Again, it is oversized, which when the temps drop I find super cozy.

What are your favorite scents for fall? And how do you like to dress for fall?

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Klout Perk: Essie Mirror Metallics Collection

Hello Beauties! I finally received my essie: Mirror Metallics Collection  perk from Klout today, and I am so happy!

The color I received is no place like chrome, a richly oxidized nickel color.  This is a full size bottle.

This polish is amazing. No, honestly it is! Photo below is just one coat of this polish. (No top coat.)  It is thick enough to give great coverage, but it is still thin enough to glide on easily. I really do love the metallic finish and will be purchasing some of the other colors.

These polishes are available now and retail at around $8 per bottle. (prices of course vary).

What do you think of  this collection?

Thanks so much for stopping by!

I did not purchase this item, but received it as klout reward. I was not obligated or paid to review this product.

1.  Is your hair naturally curly or straight?
Naturally straight.

2. What is your natural hair colour?
Dark brown.

3. Do you dye it yourself or go to a salon?
When I go to a color that is drastic, I go to a salon, but for a more natural color I do it myself.

4. How often do you wash your hair?
Daily. I workout and do alot of outdoor activities, so it is a must.

5. Do you wear the same style every day or change it?
For the most part, it's the same.

6. Do you do your own mani/pedi or go to the salon?
I do my own. I use to be a nail tech, so I have a lot of the tools and a lot of polishes.

7. How often do you change your nail polish?
At most twice a week.

8. Do you polish your toes in the winter or just in the summer?
Year round.

9. How long does it take you to put on your makeup?

Not as often as I should, but at least once a week. I just don't wear makeup daily, so that is my excuse. haha

I only plan an outfit if it's a dressy occasion. My day to day wear is whatever I grab and feel comfortable in.

China Glaze Summer Neon polish

Boy it has been a while since I have last posted, and for that I am sorry.

I have really missed you guys!

I went to Sally's today and picked up a color of new bright polishes. These are from China Glaze's Summer Neon collection, and I love all the colors, but decided to start the collection with these two colors.

I'm with the lifeguard is a ultra bright neon green. It has a shimmer to it and I reached opacity in two coats, but I feel three would give a better look.

The second color is Orange You Hot? I really like this orange. It is a perfect shade for me, as most of mine are either really dark or more red than orange. I reach desired opacity in two coats.

Both polishes have a good balance in consistancy, not to thick or to thin. And applied easily. As the name of the collection clearly states, these will be perfect for summer!

Have you picked out any colors from this collection?

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

DIY Tie-Dye Dress using Tulip Tie-Dye Kit

Hello Beauties!! This is my first DIY post!

I purchased this kit from the craft section at Wal-Mart. They had several options in color combinations, as well as 3 color kits up to 20 color kits.. I chose the 3 color Tropical Twist kit for my dress. This kit cost around $9.88.

The kit came with three (3) bottles, pre-filled with powder dye, rubber bands and two (2) sets of plastic gloves.

It also had a idea and instruction guide.

I decided on a little plain white cotten dress, that I also purchased from Wal-Mart for about $7.00.

I took the three bottles and filled them with water and shook vigorously. Here we have green, hot pink and neon orange.

I dampened the dress and layed it flat on the floor, chose the spot I wanted the center of the swirl design to start, and I pinched that spot and proceeded to twist the dress until it looked like the picture below:

Then, taking three of the rubber bands I wrapped them around to criss-cross in the center to make six (6) wedges.

Now I am ready to go outside and apply the dye. I interchanged the colors in each wedge, so that the same color is across from each other. When I finished appling the dye, I turned it over to repeat the process on the other side. Making sure to fully saturate it.

I then put the dress into a plastic bag to help keep the dye moist.

Tie the bag tightly and let it sit for 6 - 8 hours.

After about 7 hours I washed it in hot water with just a little bit of detergent. And done!

I also purchased the Moody Blues kit for my son. This is his finished shirt. I think it turned out great! (He even tie dyed a pair of shoes.)

This is an easy and fun project to do on your own or with kids. It is really simple to use and with supervision even a young child can create their very own one of a kind tie dyed clothing.

This kit also gives easy to follow instructions to create the very popular ombre look.

The only negitive thing I can say about this kit is that it says it dyes up to 8 shirts. We were only able to dye three items per kit. And even then we weren't able to get the third item as dyed as the first two. They still came out fine, just had more white showing through. And we did try to use it sparingly.

If you are interested in doing something like this, I would totally recommend this kit. Like I said above, if you want to do multiple items, you need to either purchase a couple of the kits or buy the large pack.

All in all, I really like the ease of use, they have many great colors and kits to choose from. And me and my son just had a lot of fun hanging out making a mess and being creative.

I hope you enjoyed and thank you so much for stopping by!

xoxo

*I purchased everything and was not asked, sent or paid to talk about or review this product.

NOTW (Nails of the week)

Hello Beauties! As we wind down the week, I want to share my nails of this week! I started the week off with a soft pastel, and I am closing the week with a bang with a bright pop of color! Hope you enjoy!

This has been one of my favorite pastel polishes this spring. essie lilacism. Such a milky cream pastel purple.  I reach desired opaqueness in two coats. This is such a lovely color that has been getting alot of use. This is from The Art of Spring Collection.

A new polish in my collection is OPI Kiss Me on my Tulips. I recieved this polish in my Glossybox. It is such a vibrant creme pink. It is such a bright cheerful color..I love it! How could you not be in a good mood wearing this pretty color! I reached desire opaqueness in one coat, but applied two out of sheer habit. This is from OPI's Holland Collection.

Do you prefer bright pops of color or soft gentle colors? What is your current favorite?
